Artist's Statement

Art is used to convey someone's opinions and feelings on whatever subject they feel strongly about. This painting is expressing the New York Times as a form of art. Each writer, like an artist, is trying to show their opinions to the world in their own creative way, although it is not always seen that way and can be seen as quite boring and impersonal. Each article in the Times articulates a part of the writer's personality and personal opinions. My art piece should bring a sense of creativity and personal reflection to the New York Times and how it is viewed in today's culture.
