Eating Healthy on a Budget: Middle Adulthood

By: Kelley Logan, Shayna Goldstein, Alejandra Flores, Katherine Alvarez, and Robin Wren

Keeping healthy while on a budget is a difficult task for people aged 35-50. Middle adulthood is a vulnerable time for diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and cancer. Diet is a key factor in prevention of these diseases, so healthy eating is crucial for those in middle adulthood. However, eating healthy can often be expensive.

We made an effort to make a healthy breakfast, while sticking to a $40.00 budget. Below are images of the foods we prepared which were both budget friendly and nutritious.
