Stage 1: Big Fish, Little Pond.
I started working on this project in high school with my best friend (who stars in the lead role). Growing up in a small town made for a very interesting and eye-opening experience. The people in Burlington, my home town, were curious about me and also a little annoyed. I was definitely out of place and didn't have a niche.
This didn't stop me and I attempted to submit this film in my high school's talent show. They had no idea how to respond but they allowed me a screening and the audience was intrigued and excited about this new type of talent show submission. I didn't win, simply because the judges had no idea how to go about critiquing it.
