Graduated from DePaul University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Music in vocal performance. Performed in many DePaul operas with minor roles, and led many choral ensembles in and out of the university.
I consider my unique world experiences a valuable asset in educating others. Travel during my student career included choir trips to Ireland, Wales, Ukraine and the Republic of Georgia. In 2009, I joined and helped form Chicago's premier Republic of Georgia folk ensemble, Alioni, with former DePaul choir conductor Clayton Parr.
After graduation, I moved to Suzhou, China where I lived and taught English to children for seven months. There, I began to seriously consider a career in music education. After returning from China, I enrolled in DePaul's music education certification program and began classes in March 2011.
I continue to perform music with professional choirs including Grant Park Chorus, Bella Voce, and St. Alphonsus Church Choir, and I teach English online with Rosetta Stone.
