Judy Chicago was born Judy Cohen.  Judy Chicago is a feminist artist, lecturer, and author.  In the 1970s she coined the term “feminist art” for a year-long, all female class at Fresno State University.  Her art stirred controversy that helped push the Feminist Art Movement forward.  Judy Chicago’s rhetoric lies in her art's subject matter.
