I have provided five excerpts from student blogs below.  The examples highlight the ways in which students are grappling with issues of visual rhetoric, audience, purpose, and genre expectations.

This student attempts to use color and images to inform and complement the content of her blog post.  While the effectiveness of her approach leaves something to be desired, this excerpt demonstrates that she is, at least, considering the ways in which her rhetorical choices affect her audience and meaning.
