Rationale



In this section, you will find a paper I wrote about on an assessment tool I had researched called Brigance. This fits well under standard 3, Observing, documenting, and assessing to support young children and families, for many reasons. I find that this paper fits under many of the key elements in this standard. For instance you will find, it fits under the key elements, 3a, 3b, and 3d. This paper explains how to use the tool Brigance and how it assesses children. Next, you will find my NAEYC Advice guide that revolves around this standard. This work fits well under each key element because I am explaining how I would observe, document, and assess to support young children and families.
