My Laptop

Is my best buddy, these days

While I help myself to dinner’s ways

And the sun outside sits atop the clouds

And my yellow radio is just a bit too loud. 

My Yellow Radio

Is a muse of music

Until in my mind he loses it

That thing that keeps him safe

Until safety turns to danger

And danger leads to serenity

The Shoes in the Hall

Love to soak up dirt

And they are the sentinels of the apartment

Who knows what they see, in their serenity

Some are short, and some are tall

And their only home is the aisle of the hall

The air conditioner in my bedroom

Can’t breathe because it is winter

It’s too cold outside

And in my dreams, it mutters,

“Why don’t you come hither,

Until the hate that resides with you dies.”

Stream of consciousness- a poem

The stream of consciousness is the best way to write

It opens up the writer’s mind to the reader

Huck Finn wasn’t written in the stream of consciousness, but

He found his way by taming a river with a man

That one might not recognize today

And in Ordinary People my favorite part is when they express their love

And I find it beautiful that he sees things in blue and grey

And I don’t know how to swim but I think he should have stuck with it

Although maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about because I could never experience what he did

But maybe I still did in my own way

And if he were a real person I’d tell him he was a good actor in the movie

And he might be offended, saying that I’m calling him fake

But when I first read it as a teenager I thought he was the ideal male

And the protagonist in Catcher if the Rye is going places

And in Franny and Zooey she is melodramatic

And in Good Will Hunting, Will knows the meaning of friendship, but denies everything else

Even himself

And in real life Matt Damon and Minnie Driver wouldn’t get along because they are Irish and English

But they seem to make it work- hey, they might know more about that stuff that you do

And in the dog racing scene it is apparent that they have different backgrounds but

Movie viewers aren’t supposed to see it

And I only knew “Danny Boy” to be sung by a male when Casey Affleck started to sing it

And now I want to wear Adidas everyday

When I was in the hospital a girl who had blonde dreadlocks offered me to have

Adidas pants and a white tee as my uniform

And when I first started believing in angels I went to a Subway where two girls with very blonde hair

Where wearing a uniform with stripes down the leg

But hey, maybe that’s just me
