Solitude
The evening sky envelops the seas
The sparkling stars are beauty for free
Some trees’ branches scratch the dark navy
That comforts my soul and helps set it free
The roads are empty and go on lonesome for miles
I walk and I take on what is ahead for awhile
The peace in the night leaves me completely beguiled
And I stroll down an wondrous path, down an empty aisle
After some time, some houses come to my sight
Some cobblestone to my feet, some doors to my height
And to loneliness I give up this fight
In the hope that on this day I find my window with its glaring light
But fear and shyness get the best of me
Despite the fact that what I may find in this house could further set me free
So I let everything and everyone in this house without me be
And I set out to find some deeper meaning in my thoughts and me
