Welcome to the 2015 Month of Writing Challenge!

Will you help us write one million words in October?

This year marks the 4th annual DePaul University Month of Writing, sponsored by the School for New Learning. The Month of Writing (MOW) celebrates writing by challenging folks to write their hearts out during the month of October.

We invite the entire DePaul community and beyond—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends—to participate in the Month of Writing Challenge. Those interested can register to set a personal writing goal for the month which will be recorded each week. Participants are encouraged with writing prompts, brainstorming ideas, and events that invite community and accountability. Together, we can meet our goal to write one million words!

Read on to learn more about the Month of Writing Challenge, find resources for your own writing, and discover events related to the Month of Writing. And register here to join us!

Sincerely,

The SNL Writing Program

P.S. Our month kicks off with the Craft of Composing panel on the evening of October 1st at 6:00 p.m. We invite you to join us as four distinguished authors share their thoughts on the writing process. See the Events page for more information, and feel free to contact us at MOW@depaul.edu!
