This page is dedicated to pieces that I have written as exercises in flash fiction. These were usually composed in a single writing session of anywhere between five and thirty minutes, although most of them were composed in less than ten and have not been edited since. Flash fiction is a great way to brush-up on literary skills and generate ideas for future projects without the stress, obligation, and attachment that usually stems from full-time commitments. They also provide unique opportunities for authors to experiment with writing in a genre, style, or context that is foreign to them, using language that may not be relevant to their prevailing literary endeavors. The time constraints encourage writers to draw upon a stream-of-consciousness rather than artificial and contrived notions. Thank you for browsing my flash fiction. I hope you enjoy my work.
